The 19 Crime Wines are named after the list of offences that saw British convicts transported to Australia and their stories. The Brand have created a mobile phone app which brings these stories to life – When a phone’s camera is pointed at a bottle in the app, the character on the label becomes animated and begins to tell their story.

Inky violet in colour with powerful aromas of vanilla, oak, grape jam and hints of baking spice. Concentrated dark fruit flavours are enveloped with sweet vanilla and oak in the full, syrupy body. Baking spice, dark chocolate, vanilla and hints of dark fruit comprise the lengthy, plush finish.

Each declared by his majesty to be punishable on Conviction by Transportation.

A liquid ode to our past, 19 Crimes is inspired by those who, beginning in 1788, were transported to Australia for hard labour. 'The Banished' depicts James McNally Wilson (1832-1921), who managed to flee Australia in 1876, landing in New York and spending his remaining years in the U.S.
